Chimney power plant

An 8-kilometer-high power plant, utilizing the difference in atmospheric pressure at ground level and 8 km above ground level, may be an impossible fantasy ? buildings higher than 1 km above ground level have not yet been constructed. In this case, we're dealing with a height of 8 km above ground level, so that the draft can be adequate to run a turbine or a system of air turbines connected to generators producing electricity. It's possible that the assumptions behind this type of power plant are flawed, but while no one can verify this, because no one has the resources to build a high-altitude chimney equal to the height of mountains like Mount Everest, the theoretical foundations remain undisproved. In a normal chimney, we're dealing with heated air from heating installations, and this air, being lighter, rises in a spiral flight towards the outlet. Would cold air tend to rise despite its heavy weight? Considering that the chimney flue would operate on a slightly different principle, based on pressure differences?lower pressure, thinner air at the outlet? Air near the ground is usually warmer than air eight kilometers into space, especially in summer. Previous chimney greenhouse designs have utilized air heated by the sun, but due to their basic operating principles, they occupy large areas, which is undoubtedly their main drawback. The significance of these structures may be diminished by the fact that they are also intended to be located in desert regions, where interference with non-complementary infrastructure is minimal.
