From the very beginning of human history on our home planet, humans have had to contend with various forms of elements. The planet on which civilization arose is volcanically active and is also 75% flooded by oceans and seas. Humans breathe atmospheric air; biologically active oxygen is the gas that allows the human body to obtain life energy. Together with nitrogen and other gases, it provides the pressure and thermal comfort appropriate for organisms based on the genetic code. In situations where various nutrients, such as air and water, are lacking, and substrates in the form of food are not available to cells, mass extinctions of species living on the planet frequently occur. Such a situation can result from numerous destructive factors, such as gigantic volcanic eruptions, periods of intense solar activity, which can result in years of widespread drought, or the impact of a large meteorite. Living conditions have never been the same for millions of years. Some species became extinct due to their inability to adapt to changing environmental conditions; others evolved because the higher-ranking species that consumed them disintegrated in global catastrophes. The living world provides humans with essential daily products. Vast areas of land are cultivated on continents where erosion has not yet led to the depletion of agricultural land and its loss into the oceans. The seas currently abound with protein-rich food in the form of marine fauna. However, what is currently happening is no longer conventional and planned exploration of the planet's resources, because humans have reached a demographically dictated point where the exploitation of these resources is taking on the character of a devastating occupation of the planet, leading to a global ecological disaster. Furthermore, the waste of energy, water, and air, the dumping of highly processed food in landfills, and the reckless deforestation of various climatic zones are taking on a catastrophic aspect. The environmentally unsustainable and inefficient technology developed after several technological revolutions throughout the 19th, 20th, and early 21st centuries has failed to significantly change the mentality of society in many countries around the world. Yet, compared to the vastness of the solar system, the planet's habitable zone is merely a small space, and its life-giving potential can be destroyed in a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately, some predictions about the future of our civilization have come true and we have a new epidemic or pandemic, we have a continuing unrest in the Middle East, we have further masses of starving people storming southern Europe. Unfortunately, these problems eclipse the need for space exploration, and escaping all these dangers is impossible, and it seems we all have to go through this. Sure, we send satellites with the internet, but what will change for the better when the internet is global and the inhabitants of this small planet decline in health or lose their lives? Ghetto is the only name that fits our planet today. The decisive brake on progress turns out to be not moral codes or religion, but the economic and civilizational system. So we have the situation we have: no possibility of escape from the danger zone that the entire planet has become, which is increasingly worrying and troubling now and in the future. There is a lack of support for general actions that could realistically lead to a change in poverty for all Earthlings. Instead, we have a system that leads to the complete biological exhaustion of humanity. We have a disproportionate expansion of administration over the creative and productive factor. There is a general anxiety, fueled by the lack of coordination at various levels of control and enforcement, regarding the ability to address civilization's greatest challenges. The technological prerogatives imposed on society by civilization's most important dictators still outweigh solutions from less influential factors, even if these are superior to their own. This situation has not been changed in at least the last several decades, except since the Treaty of Rome, which seems to have agreed upon the direction of civilization's development and decided to artificially suppress progress for economic and commercial purposes, likely with negative consequences for international society. Unfortunately, some people have billions of dollars, zlotys, euros, etc., but it seems they can't make wise and useful use of their money, because so far they can't do this one thing: they can't leave our planet, and billions are useless to them to escape plagues, dangers, contamination, and nuclear threats. Now it's become clear that we all face the same situation... What happened because of technology is clear to everyone. In an age where you can be in every corner of the world within 20 hours, regardless of which corner of the globe you depart from, the development of a plague is no surprise. However, if a few financial tycoons took an interest, stopped, and explored the intricacies of technology, perhaps we could have long ago set foot on Mars, back on the Moon, and on other targets in the solar system, without rockets, fuel, and chemicals costing billions of dollars, using nothing less than technology that harnesses the sheer weight of rotating matter, achieving the same goal as well-known space companies, with minimal resources to increase civilization's chances of survival. If attention had been paid to the drives, such as inertial drive, which have been ridiculed without any deeper reflection on their real physical foundations and which have unjustly remained underestimated for so many years, if at least one percent, or even a fraction of a percent, of what has been used for all these years to waste resources on a global scale had been invested in their improvement and rationalization, and if we had stopped investing in nonsensical technology straight from Robert Goddard's workshop, where the nonsense of their designers is probably matched only by the nonchalance and stupidity of those who still want to travel around the solar system in this way, exposing themselves to the rapid loss of their lives in painful agony, then we would not be sitting here locked in our homes now and the existence of so many people in the world would not be threatened. Almost everyone would have access to the appropriate technological means to escape a plague, the fall of a large rock from space, or the powerful "mushroom cloud" released by the administrators, etc. But no, some people are incredibly happy with the situation where human misery and dependence on Earth last forever, with people wasting their lives as prisoners of their TV armchairs or turning their daily bread into fertilizer only to not experience any radical changes in their lives. These are bitter words, but perhaps the time has come to do something about this situation, because I don't know about other compatriots, but I don't necessarily want to be exposed to all these problems, especially once I realize the actual possibilities of civilization and my own predispositions... It's strange that no one is trying to face the challenge called survival, but also wealth and prosperity... Oh well, either we all mobilize together or there will be nothing interesting left of us on this rock... poop and fodder for the lower-organized nematodes...

The impact of an asteroid or asteroid from outer space on Earth has occurred numerous times in Earth's history. Such events have been associated with global extinctions, whether of reptiles or planet-wide destruction nearly capable of sterilizing the planet. If such a threat were to become a real threat, we, as the dominant race on the planet, would likely be unable to cope with the consequences of a rock falling to Earth. Humanity would be brought to the brink of extinction, but perhaps its continuity would be preserved, and civilization would regress to the Stone Age. This type of scenario has long been a nightmare for the more imaginative individuals in many countries. Emergency plans and solutions are being developed to detonate the asteroid with a hydrogen bomb, or to alter its trajectory by installing engines on its surface or detonating a powerful hydrogen bomb in its immediate vicinity. However, all these actions might not produce the desired effect; we must face the truth: there are no real countermeasures if the need arose. We have no space transportation other than rocket technology, we do not have the ability to land on the surface of an asteroid using a crew that could drill a hole to detonate a nuclear warhead, it is all fiction.

Gamma-ray bursts originating from jets emitted by dying stars, which emit an immense amount of electromagnetic radiation at very high energies, like a beacon signal. Sometimes, they encounter various cosmic objects. Worse still, if they encounter an inhabited planet, half the planet can be transformed into an electromagnetic inferno, heated by fire and with conditions reminiscent of those inside a nuclear reactor. During such an event, humans and animals would be roasted alive, some would lose their skin, and others, more fortunate, would receive doses close to lethal. Gamma radiation from a dying star that becomes a supernova is short-lived and emits a concentrated energy that weakens as it travels through space, but not enough to eliminate many civilizations based on a genetic code with conditions similar to Earth's.
