Plastic waste, a product of civilization's functioning, or rather, its pervasive waste of the planet's resources, is a problem that is turning into a monstrous and gigantic pollution of the Earth's ecosystem. If we could reprogram the DNA strands of bacteria so they could eat plastic, Earth would finally breathe a sigh of relief from all this plastic waste, which is killing marine animals and is one of the most dangerous substances to life on Earth, because its particles enter the food chains found in nature, eventually ending up in the human body, the emitter that threw them away. There is no turning back from the closed territory that is Earth, and everything we do will come back to haunt us sooner or later. While we remain confined to our own planet, let's take care of it, develop clean production methods for everything, and generate energy from emission-free sources. There are many possibilities, but what if the desire for profit by certain institutions and individuals leads the world to a dead end? The desire to profit from everything means the enslavement of billions of people. They will pay for the recklessness of those for whom neither humanity nor the planet means anything more than an obstacle course and a training ground for their actions, which grow more malicious every year? The world must wake up; everyone is in the same boat; if someone succeeds or fails, others will feel it. It is not a happy thing to witness the failure of civilization in a time of so many dangers and problems. Humanity has achieved a lot; now it's time for the next step.
