A disc generator is a type of device that, in principle, can utilize the inertial effect of matter to generate an inertial force against gravity using centrifugal forces, achieved by rotating the entire device around a central shaft connected to an electric motor. This can result in the device losing weight when switched on for continuous operation, but after exceeding a certain constant rotational speed, it becomes capable of lifting its own total mass. In extreme cases, it could also be capable of lifting its own mass and payload after adjustment and necessary modifications. The device consists of spindles mounted on open or closed linear bearings, which, under the influence of inertial forces, can change their position along their single axis of symmetry. As a result, the device's center of gravity shifts upward, and the inertial and centrifugal forces become unbalanced along the vertical axis (greater at the top and lower at the bottom). The device's geometry has precisely defined capabilities, where the outer rim, and in particular its off-center location relative to the main disc with the arbor ports, determines the distance the arbor can extend from the ports. This parameter should also be determined when designing the central disc and the length of the holes (ports) drilled in it, as it determines the difference between the centrifugal and inertial forces in a given device on the vertical axis, consistent with the inverse of the gravity vector. The initial solution did not provide any method to prevent friction between the arbor heads and the inner surface of the outer rim; however, a ball or roller bearing of the appropriate size would have to be used. Such bearings are not commercially available, so a suitable bearing and housing would have to be turned on a lathe.
